WZZM13 reports that:
Kevin Gue tonight told WZZM 13 News that he did not voluntarily give up his job. He says Interim Drain Commissioner David Fisher told him three times in recent days that he could keep his job if he dropped out of the race. But if Gue stayed in the race, he would be out of his job.
Gue says when he refused to sign a resignation letter, Fisher told him to pack up his belongings.
It should be noted that as Deputy to an elected official, it was within the rights of Fisher to terminate Gues employment. Kevin has worked as Muskegon Countys Deputy Drain Commissioner for 11 years.
Kevin states: “I have done the job! I have done the job well and want to finish the job!”
